Founded by Dr. Jess Risk, a certified nutrition coach and weight management specialist with a passion for empowering others, Risk Nutrition Co. emerged from a deeply personal journey. Jess knows firsthand what it’s like to feel lost in a sea of conflicting information about food and fitness. She’s been in the place where nutrition was a mystery and weight gain seemed inevitable. And she’s also experienced the other extreme: a hyper-informed, overly rigid mindset that prioritized restriction and weight loss at the cost of health and well-being.
Her journey through both ends of the spectrum led Jess to a powerful realization: Knowledge without practical, sustainable application is incomplete. After several years of supporting her personal training clients with navigating their nutrition, Jess founded Risk Nutrition Co. in 2022 to bridge that gap, helping clients cut through the noise, reconnect with their bodies, and build nutrition strategies that support both performance and joy.
Jess’s coaching style is rooted in data, knowledge, and compassionate accountability. It’s about more than hitting macro targets or counting calories; it’s about learning how to fuel your body to achieve your best performance while embracing life’s little indulgences along the way. Through personalized coaching, Jess works with clients to dismantle restrictive mindsets and replace them with sustainable, realistic habits.
